YOUR BRAIN

Your brain is still developing until you are about 25. The earlier you start using cannabis, the more harm it can do to your health. Using cannabis can affect important aspects of your thinking, like learning and memory.

LONG-TERM EFFECTS

Over time, regular use of cannabis (daily or near daily) can:

  • Make it harder to focus on things you care about,

  • Affect your mood and feelings

  • Lead to dependence and withdrawal symptoms when trying to quit.

THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMM...

  • Cannabis can affect concentration and coordination, and can slow reaction times.

  • Using cannabis together with alcohol or other drugs will affect your ability to concentrate or react even more.

DON’T DRIVE HIGH OR CATCH A RIDE WITH SOMEONE WHO IS IMPAIRED.

Plan to get home safely:

  • Call a friend or family member

  • Take public transit

  • Call a cab or ride-share

  • Sleep over

Cannabis and your health... it’s worth thinking about.
